Pa Vang

Born and raised in Sacramento, Pa joined 916Ink in 2024 after being introduced to the program by her sister, a former tutor. Since then, she's loved being part of the community that celebrates the joy in supporting literacy and encourages students to discover confidence in their own voices.

As a Read On! Tutor, Pa enjoys helping students strengthen their reading skills and building confidence as learners. She believes literacy has the power to open doors, spark creativity, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Simon Styrsky

Born and raised in Sacramento, Simon has always had a passion for uplifting his community. In 2024 he worked at 916 Ink as an Inspirator through Americorps and had an amazing time writing with students about futuristic robot dogs, aliens invading their middle school, or even epic superhero battles . Now he is back and more excited than ever to work with students in the Read On program. When he isn't at work or creative writing you can find Simon with friends on the dance floor, cooking a new recipe in the kitchen, or crocheting in bed watching one of the worst horror movies you've never heard of.

Jasmine Segovia

I grew up in the bay area and have now transferred to Sacramento to be a proud sac state hornet. My major being communication sciences & disorders. I am going to become a speech pathologist working with kids in schools. That is something I am passionate about and working hard to achieve that goal. Growing up I loved seeing all the classroom libraries and all the different stories I could pick up and read. That is one of my favorite hobbies still to this day reading and finding new books, I also enjoy hiking. I've been to many hiking trails, my favorite so far being Starved Rock State Park in LaSalle County, Illinois. I hope to grow with Read On and continue my position here as long as possible.
