Inspirator

Inspirators support our workshop facilitators (a.k.a “Wordslingers”) at each of our program sites, directly influencing our Inkers by being good role models and helping them achieve success in our workshops, at school, and in life.

As an Inspirator, you will attend each of the twelve workshop sessions and write alongside the students, modeling good behavior and positive feedback while encouraging our young participants to dig deeper and find their unique voice. An exceptional Inspirator is someone who loves to spend time working directly with children, encouraging them and helping them develop both as a writer and as an individual. They are able to devote time in the middle of the day throughout the course of a school semester to regularly attend workshops, and they are comfortable assisting students one-on-one when they need extra help.

Volunteer Testimonial

You will laugh, cry, find joy and awe, and improve your own writing and listening skills, along with school-aged writers, and have a wonderful time spending time with the Inkers."
