Our Mission

916 Ink transforms Sacramento youth into confident writers and published authors who know the power of story.

From a Parent

Good Morning,

I just wanted to say a heartfelt THANK YOU!!! to 916ink, Ms. Camagna, and Maestra Suarez for bringing the Youth Writers Program to the Language Academy of Sacramento.

I have a daughter who has proudly displayed her certificate on the kitchen cabinet for all to see.  She doesn’t generally do this, so it demonstrated to us how proud of it she is.  Each week she said that she had a great time and her love of writing is even more encouraged.  We are looking forward to the book release!  Please let me know if you need any volunteer assistance with set up, clean up, etc.

Thanks again for all you do to help students and young minds grow!

With much appreciation,
Jennifer Bacsafra

Funder Feedback

“I cannot even begin to describe all that 916 Ink is and does, though I often find myself trying to describe it to friends and family because it is a great example of a program that does remarkable things in super creative ways.  I like to describe my best recollection of the Imaginarium, where there are tons of props of various and assorted subject matter, to stimulate the creativity in the young writers.”
